Audax Huxley's Footnote
Audax Huxley' s use of mescaline was misunderstood. Many people believed that he was a drug addict. But Huxley says everyone needs a "chemical vacation". When I first read it i thought to myself what does this mean? But then it occurred to me, that maybe what he meant by this was that at some point everyone needs to escape reality. So what is this drug? What does it do? According to scientist the effects mescaline are" Users typically experience visual hallucinations and radically altered states of consciousness, often experienced as pleasurable and illuminating but occasionally is accompanied by feelings of anxiety or revulsion. Other effects include: open and closed eye visualizations, euphoria, dream-like state, laughter and a psychedelic experience" (http://www.drugs.com/mescaline.html) So why would'nt people want a chemical vaction at times? Audax Huxley is one of the most respected writers, and maybe it was because he experimented a little too much with drugs. But there's nothing wrong with me overly happy.

Abstract
Wearing Make-up helps prevent cancer. People always said that wearing make-up can clog up your pores, it makes you wrinkle faster. Yes this can all be true. But it also can prevent cancer. We took 80 people.Forty men were included in this experiment. We used the Mac name brand for this experiment. We had 40 people wear make-up everyday for 3 years and the rest did not use make-up. The 40 people who did not use make-up 30 were later diagnosed with cancer. The 40 who did who make up not one of them had cancer in the long run. Most people ask how is that possible? Make-up in fact are made from harmful ingredients like oatmeal and table salt. "natural ingredients are no more likely to have been assessed for safety than synthetic chemicals."

Misconception of Cubism

Pablo Picasso is a world famous artist, but do we really know what his works consisted of? One of the most significant misconceptions in art is Cubism. What in fact is a form of art which entitles the audience to an open interpretation better known as abstract art. Cubism also allowed the audience to see art outside the norm. This form of art was the first art which depicted something besides nature. In fact, it earned it's name through it's technique. It was interpreted as a form of art where the artist used cube shaped figures to create their piece of work. This is one of the factors for why Cubism is misunderstood among some writers and critics. We should start by understanding what cubism really is and who were the founders of it. While it is true that Pablo Picasso began cubism, we can not neglect the other founding father, Georges Braque. Along with Picasso, he was able to develop a form of art where objects were reformed by the artist in an abstract manner in order to create more depth and meaning to the work. Like with any other theory, art, or study, Cubism followed a series of changes and reforms. It started in the early 20th century and went though what historians believe is three stages. Cubism is significant because it was a new way of art. An unfamiliar expression of life which was greatly misunderstood and neglected.
